There are some people that you just can’t put an age to.
It seems as though he has always been in the village - but he has no family connections, and nobody can remember him arriving.
If you press people, they will eventually confess that they don’t know where he lives - and they don’t even recall his name.
But just like in every other small and close knit community, when anything strange happens or things go wrong - then the ‘outsider’ is often blamed.
Now is one of those times.
