1940 - the ‘Phoney War’ is over and Britain braces itself  for invasion.

On the exposed eastern shoreline, Capt. Richard Headley is given

command of the construction of defensive positions, but soon

finds himself at odds with local traditions and customs that have served these isolated communities well for centuries past.

Discovering a lost map supposedly showing the location of the

fabled ‘Three Crowns of East Anglia', Richard soon realises that

there is more to the legend than first appears, and that as the

Nazi tanks roll on towards the Channel . . .
