It’s no wonder that Croker gets headaches after surviving the perfect storm of  a near fatal head injury, financial ruin and a messy divorce.

The new job and the cottage on the village outskirts are helping him come to terms with how his once ordered life has changed.

But the headaches are also changing . . . into voices. Voices that only Croker can hear. Not loud . . . but they’re getting louder.

And they are telling him things about the places where he’s working

. . .  things that nobody else knows.
